About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Product Designer who can take on the challenge of making complex apps simple and easy to use. You'll report to our VP of Product and work alongside an empowered product team to guide product design and influence each stage of product development. Using your passion for developing strategies and frameworks, you'll create a world-class user experience and drive value for our customers. As a Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in steering the overall product design strategy while striking a balance between effectively leading other Product Designers and contributing hands-on to product design. Leading a dynamic product design team, the Lead Product Designer will foster a collaborative, accountable, and innovative environment, providing mentorship and guidance to individual team members to enhance their professional growth. The Lead Product Designer will also participate in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and the overall business strategy.

Operational Excellence:
- Create an environment that enables product designers to be free to innovate along with measured accountability.
- Integrate design processes into the overarching product development lifecycle, from discovery and research to exploration and implementation, including proposing frameworks for design reviews, establishing meeting cadences, and enhancing design visibility across the organization.
- Co-lead cross-functional product trio meetings, fostering a collaborative environment where UX design decisions are informed by product requirements and technical constraints.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to align on product vision, user needs, and technical feasibility, ensuring a cohesive and effective product strategy
Design Excellence and Craft:
- Build upon existing foundations to cultivate a culture of design excellence and innovation.
- Take broad, complex workflow problems and turn them into simple, elegant design solutions for best-in-class mobile and desktop experiences.
- Bring experience of leveraging diverse user testing methodologies such as qualitative, quantitative, unmoderated, and moderated testing strategies.
- Swiftly incorporate feedback and adapt designs to ever evolving requirements and foster continuous improvement and innovation.
- Maintain and document a comprehensive design system ensuring consistency, scalability, and streamlining and maximizing processes and efficiency.
Design Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define a robust design strategy aligned with the company objectives.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience.
- Passionate about developing designers’ skills and careers with a clear philosophy on successfully managing remote design teams.
- Expert in Figma, with a deep understanding of design tools and design best practices.
- Ability to maintain a methodical and calculated approach while quickly navigating the discovery lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate complex scenarios into intuitive and visually appealing designs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding innovative design solutions.
- Strong opinions loosely held, where critiques and feedback are celebrated.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to stakeholders.
