Description
In 2018, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) began a multi-year effort to modernize its informatics systems, particularly in the areas of workflow management, knowledge management, data management, automation, submission intake, and cloud architecture.
To ensure long-term viability of the center’s enterprise systems, a new approach is needed going forward. The key focus of CDER’s desired approach is a design that supports sustainability and scalability by emphasizing end-to-end platforms built using common software components, based on a unified enterprise data model and harmonized user interface.
GDIT's modernization contract will be supporting FDA and CDER to accomplish their harmonization goals and help take the agency forward to efficiently oversee the review, approval, and monitoring of human drug products to ensure they are safe and effective.
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Workfront Developer to join our team supporting the FDA.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is the federal agency responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for: advancing the public’s health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; helping the public acquire the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.
As a Workfront Developer you will be involved in all phases of the development life cycle, you will participate in design sessions, both from custom code as well as architecture stand point. Additional duties to include:
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and configure all areas of work management within Workfront, including work intake, project management, resource management, approvals, proofing, and reporting
- Partner with system administrators, and support them in all Workfront administrative activities
- Provide customers with advice and best practices on designing and implementing complex business workflows, and the metrics to track them
- Consult with customers in the areas of change management, user adoption, system governance, and system maintenance and cleanup
- Educate and mentor customers on product functionality
- Contribute to the professional services knowledge base to continually improve our consulting processes
- Experience with advanced reporting in Workfront (text mode)
- Experience with Workfront Fusion

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
