Word Press Web Developer (Front End) at Weaving Influence

This position reports to the COO and the Manager of Marketing Services and works with an interdisciplinary team. We are looking to expand our base and ask our contracts grow, this position would work between five and 10 hours per week.

Job responsibilities include:

• Implement and/or customize user interfaces for websites and web-based applications.
• Translate design mockups and wireframes to develop Wordpress websites optimized for both desktop and mobile.
• Identify new technologies that can add additional visual display capabilities and enhance site usability.
• Support backend integration and maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the UI.
• Work with the team to understand the client and implement strategy.
• Perform updates to client websites including copy, new page builds, graphics, and more.
• Maintain websites by ensuring themes and plugins are current.
• Troubleshoot and repair broken sites.
• Review results regularly, flagging any concerns with performance or projects that are in danger of not meeting commitments of delivery or budget and correcting course or seeking support from supervisor, as necessary.
• Address communication and process breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Utilize our existing systems and processes as designed while offering constructive feedback for improvements.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be proficient in using WordPress, Elementor, and Divi as well as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Mailchimp or other CRMs, Hubspot, Canva, and Basecamp preferred.

Knowledge of commonly used languages and frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, and Bootstrap a plus.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or the equivalent, relevant work experience.
• Minimum of two years experience with Wordpress development, preferably in Divi and/or Elementor. Experience:

Front-end development: 1 year (Preferred) Word Press: 2 years (Preferred)
