Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of new OHR specific web pages, as well as transferring existing data to new and innovative platforms.
- Propose and maintain an editorial calendar for managing site content to ensure a communicated schedule is widely known.
- Provide and apply expertise and services in managing and evaluating web pages.
- Create engaging video and web content and strategic digital initiatives.
- Design and produce, by computer or more traditional methods, diagrams, graphs, slides charts, displays, flyers, posters, signs, logos, publications.
- Use and execute pre-existing content, imagery, and records to expedite content deliverables as appropriate.
- Create concept models, user interface sketches and detailed schematics.
- Copy, edit and proofread all web content.
- Provide continual oversight and review to improve content and information architecture of the OHR related websites.
- Monitor trends and emerging issues for digital platforms.
- Interact with customers, key stakeholders and business partners as information is developed.
- Work with cross-departmental teams, maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties.
- Work closely with team members and customers to research services and information.
- Provide and demonstrate best practices in all phases/aspects of web content development and apply analytical and evaluation methodologies in maintenance of the web content.
- Develop strategic social media plans, work closely with OHR/OD leadership to ensure proper content and messaging executed online is relevant to organizational goals.
- Prepare documents that adhere to compliance as mandated by federal statue.
- Participate in brainstorming of and creation of concepts for best-in-class user experiences.
- Work closely with users to ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) produces the highest level of customer experience and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), by applying best practices and industry trends.
- Oversee and/or coordinate the collection, compilation, and analysis of online activity data.
- Create and present predictive analytical reports and visualizations using graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suites and Dreamweaver
- Communicate complex and technical information to a wide variety of audiences whose core competency is not technological.
- Evaluate and amend methodology and practices as needed after outcome review and stakeholder or peer consultation.
- Troubleshoot identified gaps and communicate solutions changes with program leaders.
- Assist with data scientist recruitment and retention team on workgroups and other initiatives across CDC.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or a related field
- 3-5 years experience in producing and managing content for high traffic websites.
- Knowledge of Social Media Optimization (SEO) with at least 1-year experience in an Interactive Design Role.
- Proficient in applying Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and ensuring compliance is achieved.

- Multitask and prioritize the needs of the data scientist recruitment and retention team.
- Solid understanding and demonstration of user-centered design principles.
