Required Experience

  • Futurist, passionate about new technologies and excited to re-imagine the world of education
  • Professional experience as a UX/UI designer, product designer, interaction designer or similar
  • Proficiency in Figma and a variety of Figma plugins.
  • Experience with other design and prototyping tools, including AI tools and low-code/no-code website and app design tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of the new AI tools for design and prototyping.
  • Experience with usertesting.com or similar online testing tools.
  • Experience with qualitative research design and evaluation.
  • Experience with designing for mobile and web.
  • Deep expertise in designing interfaces and interactions in at least one of these areas: XR, AI, Voice Interfaces.

Role Overview

ELL Accelerator is a product innovation team responsible for creating the next generation of language learning and language assessment technologies, using emerging technologies such as generative AI, ML, AR, and VR. The team works in quick-paced sprints, building and testing multiple prototypes for new language learning and assessment use cases, focusing on a mix of Horizon 3 experimental experiments and Horizon 1 MVP development.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative UX/UI designer with very strong prototyping skills and an eye towards the future interfaces and interactions. If you are passionate about AI-powered interfaces, generative interfaces and think that the best interface is no interface (or at least a conversational interface), this role might be for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Continuously run quick user studies, including generative and evaluative research and usability studies.
  • Conceptualize and prototype concepts for new products that will support language learners and language teachers.
  • Create interactive prototypes using a mix of design tools, AI tools, and no-code/low-code tools to test interactions of conceptual products for language learning and assessment.
  • Facilitate design sprints and design review sessions for your innovation squad.
  • Design low, med, and high-fidelity prototypes as appropriate supporting the PM with the quickest, low effort way to refine the flows for new features or products.
  • Create compelling design documentation and other artifacts to support the Product Manager with explaining and evangelizing the new product concepts to key business stakeholders.
  • Leverage internal design systems as needed to help accelerate the process of prototyping.
  • Run design crits of competitors’ products and emerging products across tech to continuously update the understanding of the emerging trends and latest state of the art in educational technology and interfaces in general.

  • Front-end development
  • Degree (or equivalent) preferred in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors or related subjects
  • Experience designing educational technologies for learning or assessment
