Your Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience, with a portfolio that highlights multiple projects and your direct contributions

  • Excellent UX/UI skills, with versatility working across the spectrum of product design phases and practices

  • A strong visual designer and prototyper – you have proven experience designing for mobile and large screen devices. You are well-versed in Figma and can produce high quality design deliverables that leverage design systems and atomic design principles.

  • Proficient with industry standard design tools (we use Figma as a product design team)

  • Skilled at working with, contributing to, and maintaining multiple product design systems

Description

Grit Digital Health is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our growing product team. This role is for candidates ranging from junior to mid-level (2+ years relevant industry experience).

Grit Digital Health operates five core software products that are licensed across industry verticals, with a primary focus on well-being in higher education. Our team of 17 FTE’s is based in Denver, Colorado. As a hybrid remote/in-person role, ideal candidates would live in or be willing to relocate to Denver.

What You’ll Do:

As a member of our product design team you’ll contribute to the end-to-end design process across Grit’s suite of wellbeing products, collaborating with stakeholders in and outside of the company. Your work will be rooted in a deep understanding of human behavior and business strategy. Candidates should be passionate about solving problems with creativity and a collaborative spirit, championing design thinking across the company. We’re seeking someone with experience in a fast-paced environment that adapts to evolving business needs.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll lead and contribute to the discovery and implementation of Grit’s product designs through the following activities:

  • Participate in the development and facilitation of human-centered design efforts, the synthesis of research findings and the generation of insights. Works mostly self-directed to create end-to-end experiences and documentation of work by leveraging proficiency in interaction design, visual design, and/or content design.

  • Assists in the facilitation of cross-functional human-centered design sessions and group discussions to drive shared understanding and provide design solutions

  • Develop high-quality UX/UI deliverables (user research synthesis, journey maps and flow diagrams, IA deliverables, wireframes, clickable prototypes, high-fidelity mockups and design systems) 

  • Build consensus and coalition across leaders within the company, driving design thought leadership and fostering a culture of collaboration.

  • Optimize and refine design processes to support the unique needs of our product life cycles.

  • Work closely with engineering team members to align on requirements and improve solutions based on technical input.

  • Design for accessibility and inclusivity.

  • Collaborate with product managers to leverage data through key stages in the design process.

  • Support the grooming and shaping of Grit’s product roadmaps from a research and design lens.
