CardFlight is looking for a UI/UX designer to join our remote-first team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product, the designer will work closely with members across different teams to enhance and extend the look and feel of our mobile and web-based applications. In this role we also value attention to detail and a focus on the needs of the customer. The position is location-neutral remote, with opportunities to get together as a company and team throughout the year.
What You’ll Do
- Build User Interfaces
- Create UI prototypes, develop wireframes, and final designs.
- Create and document digital UI components.
- Collaborate with development teams during design and implementation phases.
- Conduct research and solicit feedback within the organization for enhancing the UI of the SwipeSimple product.
Design User Experiences
- Drive a consistent experience across both web and mobile platforms.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX issues as well as improvement opportunities.
- Create user centered designs, with an attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in articulating the rationale behind design choices.
Team Engagement
- Get involved with company-wide meetings and outings.
- Become immersed in the payments industry.
- Obtain and maintain a full understanding of our clients’ needs.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 5+ years professional experience in a UI/UX designer role.
- Modern knowledge of design software & tooling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Our signature product, SwipeSimple, is used by 125,000+ small businesses across the country. SwipeSimple is a software solution that enables small businesses to accept payments seamlessly via phone, tablet or computer. SwipeSimple is sold through a partner network comprising financial institutions, merchant service providers, and independent sales organizations. The solution is also sold directly by CardFlight through SwipeSimple Connect.
The standard annual base pay range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for cash bonus and equity awards based on factors such as experience and performance.
