Criterion Systems, Inc., is seeking a UI Developer - Angular to provide support for the modernization of the U.S. Forest Service Chief Information Office (CIO), Natural Resource Manager (NRM) suite of applications.


Qualifications:

Must be US Citizen

  • Must be able to pass background check and obtain/retain Public Trust Clearance
  • Minimum 5+ years experience as a UI Developer/Front End Development
  • Bachelors Degree in IT related field
  • Must be able to operate efficiently in an Agile, Scrum environment, utilizing Kanban
  • Expertise in front- end JavaScript /TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, AngularJS, ReactJS.
  • Must have experience with Angular Material UI Library
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS
  • Experience building out both new components and making components reusable
  • Experience with Restful APIs and dealing with JSON formatted data
  • Experience and expertise in UI architecture, component, /framework design.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, developing, modifying, debugging, maintaining, editing, and implementing Front End applications
  • AWS experience helpful

The contract supports the customer with DEVOPS, DEVSECOPS, and Architecture support.

100% REMOTE

The right individual should have experience with complex technology implementations, with an eye toward constant reengineering and refactoring to ensure the simplest and most elegant system possible to accomplish the desired need. Understands how to maximally leverage the open-source community to deploy systems on infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers. Comfortable with transparently sharing knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team and working within agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Improving the UI and User Experience of existing ReactJS applications through use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. In addition, you will be tasked with the creation of new user interfaces as new business functions are developed by the team.
  • Collaborate with UX Design Lead, project managers and back-end developers to implement cutting-edge front-end solutions
  • Build efficient front-end systems that drive complex web applications, and write clean, fast, compatible, easy-to-use, automated-testable Angular to realize our ideas
  • Stay up to date on the latest coding strategies, best practices, trending methodologies and troubleshooting, and tactical technologies useful to our environment
  • Create our UI framework to help us create applications to interact with our data—code, widgets, and all—and help us identify and document its emergent rules
  • Create visual designs for web pages/interfaces as well as create, edit, or modify templates for internal projects
  • Program cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatible web pages
  • Proactively communicate to Project Managers and Engineering Developers in regards to each ongoing project to ensure product success
  • Evaluate and deliver timeline estimates for small and large projects
