Sr Software Engineer - Full Stack Java/C# at Astadia

we are currently looking for a Senior Developer with a focus on Java and/or C# to work either in Kontich or on the US East Coast.

Job profile:

You are a specialist in either C# or Java and you like to analyze issues in source code and suggest solutions (both temporary to get the project moving forward, and long term that can be integrated within the solutions).

Considered a Must:

• An analytical mind that likes to tackle problems and cannot rest until a solution is found.
• A can-do attitude.
• Good programming skills in Java and C# and an interest to learn the other language.
• Good knowledge of modern RDMBS (PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server) and SQL in general.
• Willing to work on Linux, and Windows technology.
• Experience with version management and ticketing systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English.

Considered a Plus:

• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of Cloud Technology.

Anubex specializes in the creation of migration and testing tools that automate the conversion or re-hosting of software applications on a variety of "legacy" platforms to open systems or mainframes. Anubex also provides migration services to its customers during migration projects and supports a growing international network of partners that accommodate their own customers with the help of our technology solutions and expertise.

To strengthen our Factory team in Kontich (near Antwerp), we are currently looking for a Senior Developer with a focus on Java and/or C# to work either in Kontich or on the US East Coast.

Responsibilities:

Your role and main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Automated analysis and transformation of legacy programs into Java or C#;
• Develop custom solutions for the projects, in Java or C#, for example to integrate with Printing Solutions, Job Schedulers, Message Brokers, Security systems.
• Execute in depth issue analysis with the Java or C# code – all analysis should result in a clear description of the root cause of the problem for the R&D team.
• Profile the migrated application to detect any performance problems and improvements either in the Java or C# code, or in the support libraries used by this code.
• In this role you work closely together with our Project Manager assigned to the project, and other Factory team members, and R&D product specialists.
