Sr. Software Engineer at Policy Administration Solutions

We need one who has Knowledge of SQL Server programming, at least at a medium level is necessary for employment.

PAS is looking for a dynamic individual to join the PAS Team that meets the following criteria:

• Person that can work well in a fast-paced environment that needs minimal management and instructions in order to produce, can adapt quickly and can follow the process and keep order during the fast software delivery that is the Agile process.
• Knowledge of SQL Server programming, at least at a medium level is necessary for employment.
• Knowledge of web programming, Java script, etc., in an MVC Visual Studio environment or equivalent is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Kendo-React is a big plus.
• Capability of logical thinking, specification analysis and interpretation, ability to arrange thoughts and connect ideas in writing clearly and precisely is also a must.

General Requirements:

PAS develops software in a Microsoft based environment using SQL Server databases, Visual Studio MVC development, web-based applications, web services. Our development environment is very dynamic, and PAS is managing software using an Agile process. Our development group provides mentoring and training in the development of our products, which are complex in terms of architecture and logic and are significant in size. We are also excited to mention that we in the process of modernizing our existing web applications to KendoReact & Figma.

Duties of a Senior Programmer

A senior web developer is responsible in using a programming language, such as ASP.net, JavaScript, and SQL, to code that will integrate with the rest of the application seamlessly. Most programmers need to know several computing languages and apply them in the correct places to integrate with the rest of the code.

The web developer is responsible in completing tasks under the management of a team leader as well as giving support through the design, progress, completion, and maintenance of a corporation’s internal developed function services.

A senior programmer is responsible in porting as well as in maintaining competent code base across several platforms.

He or she must also have good understanding and experience in using third party web services.

Analysis and Design: The senior programmer will interact with business analysts to understand the specifications before they begin their software assignment. Once they meet all these requirements, they begin to develop the software. Senior programmers assist or are in charge of the analysis and design phase of the project.

Writing Code: The senior programmer will be responsible of writing code and may also design functionality and specify the methods and events needed for the program to function correctly and lead junior programmers in execution of those specifications.

Debugging: Senior programmers will carry out the debugging and troubleshooting of the program. They will record the results and identify the possible problems in the application.

Training the End user: Occasionally, senior developers will be involved in training the users once a certain feature is built.

Work Condition for a Senior Programmer

The company offers a very flexible work schedule in a mobile office environment with the usual eight working hours. The senior web developer needs to be available on occasionally for overtime and weekend work is necessary every now and then. The company provides competitive benefits.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
