What We Look For in a Candidate
Required: The candidate applying for this role should have all or a combination of the following:
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise development using Java or Javascript and have hands-on experience with different frameworks.
- 4+ years of experience with application integrations such as RESTful Web Services, Micro-services, File/Data transfers, etc.
- 3-5 years of experience with Architecture, Design & Development of web-based applications.
- 3-5 years of experience with Agile Development Methodology.
- 3-5 years of experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience in developing SFDC custom objects, workflow rules, and approval process
- Experience with database concepts and data modeling capabilities
- Strong object-oriented design skills and experience using design patterns
Preferred:
- Experience working with and mentoring junior engineers.
- Ability to debug and develop across a deep stack.
- Experience with Java microservices.
- Ability to work with across business partners and product owners.
- Experience in using APIs (SOAP/REST)
- Experience with practices like CI/CD, TDD, etc.
- Experience working remotely alongside a distributed software engineering team

The Role
Looking for an innovative and growth-minded, Senior Lead Software Engineer, to join a growing team delivering the best-in-class online experience on q.com, an online platform for delivering premier fiber-based connectivity to residents and small businesses. You will be working with bleeding-edge technologies, leading the team, and mentoring other Software Engineers.
The Main Responsibilities
- Lead a technical team in delivering solutions
- Engagement in all aspects of the SDLC
- Mentoring others in various technical areas, including business processes implemented in the team's applications and the creation and delivery of designs and solutions in accordance with the architectural direction.
- Lead others in the application of principles, theories, concepts, and use of software Methodologies, tools, documentation processes, security protocols, and test procedures to successfully deliver projects.
- Contributing to design and architecture solutions for shopping workflow and order management systems.
- Working with Software Analysts, Scrum Masters/Team Coaches, QA Analysts, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business-impacting projects.
