Senior DevOps engineers provide release engineering support to our developers, end-user support on automation facilities and application environments to internal systems and troubleshooting support to customers with their non-Production environments.

Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education/Certification/License/Training

Years of Experience:

• 3-5 years of business analysis experience in working with hosted applications.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
• Ability to set, drive and achieve deliverables
• Strong facilitation skills
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud security
• 4+ Years’ experience with .NET and Angular web application platform, IIS servers and MS SQL.
• 2+ Years’ experience with Linux container environments
• 2+ Years’ experience with “Azure” technologies
• Prior experience with programmatic infrastructure deployment such as Kubernetes or Azure Pipelines
• Extensive experience with Powershell, Bash scripting and Python.
• Experience maintaining a source control repository such as SVN or Git
• Experience setting up and maintaining a CI/CD or job automation solution for a working environment.
• Candidate must have strong understanding of computer networking, and ability to describe how various networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS etc.) work.
• Candidate must be comfortable communicating with and supporting a user base of varying technical skills.
• Candidate must be comfortable training and mentoring other members of the team.
• Candidate must be comfortable communicating with customers on production support calls.
• Candidate must have strong research and troubleshooting skills.
• Candidate should be able to keep track of multiple support tasks simultaneously.
• Candidate should demonstrate strong affinity to secure practices and have working experience with secure configurations of systems, such as encryption and access control.

Bonus Points

• An advanced Azure certificate, at least DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect (Professional).
• An advanced Windows or Linux certificate, such as MCSA or RHCE.
• Experiences in these technologies are preferred: Windows Server, TeamCity, Azure Pipelines, Subversion, GitHub.
• Knowledge of Windows based corporate infrastructure (Active Directory, Network shares, VDIs) is a plus.
• Education/Certifications/Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

Position Summary:

Senior DevOps engineers provide release engineering support to our developers, end-user support on automation facilities and application environments to internal systems and troubleshooting support to customers with their non-Production environments. One distinct difference Senior engineers bring is the experience value they add to the team: they’re expected to be mentors, provide wisdom and training to other DevOps engineers and Jr. DevOps Engineers as needed, and identify the future technologies to pursue and implement for Sapiens.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex business process problems or to propose solutions for these problems to management and to clients
• Support and update .NET application build, packaging, and deployment solutions.
• Create and maintain Azure infrastructures for internal projects and customer projects.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers hosting Sapiens’ software environment.
• Configure, maintain, and support runtime environment for .NET applications running on IIS, MS SQL Server, and Tomcat.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the web application serving plane (application servers, web servers, networking support)
• Provide internal and external customer support and issue troubleshooting for above responsibilities.
• Act as a next level of escalation for any issues pertaining to above items.
• Document new and existing processes.
• Maintain and engineer systems that automate all the above items.
• Perform other duties as required.

Travel: Requires up to 25% travel based on client needs. Must be available for travel and on-site work at the customer site. Flexibility with regard to availability for travel, based on project and customer requirements, will be necessary.
