Leidos is seeking a Sr. Back End Engineer to support a modernization effort supporting the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)


The Data Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing the technical approach for collecting and ingesting inventory data.

  • The Data Analytics Engineer must have experience, and be knowledgeable in the data structures, model, and formats.
  • The Data Analytics Engineer will work with configuration and requirements, and the Data Reporting Analyst to understand the data analysis and reporting requirements, and develop an approach that meets those combined requirements.
  • The Data Analytics Engineer will work with upstream and downstream teams to troubleshoot and adjust the solution based on execution.
  • The work will include data integration of the Application and Data Discovery Services with to-be-determined client datastores.
  • Analyze an organization's reporting processes to design a secure data integration process between Application and Data Discovery Service with target datastores
  • Responsible for how Application and Data Discovery Service data will be 1. exported, 2. stored, 3. consumed, 4, integrated, and 5. Managed by different data entities and systems
  • Analyze, design and/or implement data design and best practices through technology solutions
  • Align with data governance, predictive modeling, and/or data visualization requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of technical experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in following
  • Experience with Azure Data factory, Data Bricks, Spark, Kafka, Event Hubs, Synapses etc.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Databases, Data Lake, etc.
  • Experiences with .Net, Python, PySpark, Java, Azure Functions etc.

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Back End Engineer to support a modernization effort supporting the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)

role is fully remote

must be located in the United States currently and for the last 3 consecutive years

- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. Translate detailed design into application systems. Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product. Prepare required documentation, including both program- level and user-level documentation.

Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality. Provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met.

Performs the modeling of applications throughout the development lifecycle. Develops design for development within specific application software language. Possesses knowledge of application modeling principles, concepts and techniques. Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses, and defines options to obtain desired results. Guides development into a final product.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
