We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Tester to support our client at the Department of Homeland Security.


Requirement 

Lead and participate in Test Working Groups, Integrated Test Teams, Test Events and/or Client Trainings/Demonstrations (contractor/government site), Design Reviews (PDR & CDR), Specification Reviews (SRRs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs)

  • Review and assess contractor submitted documents (e.g., milestone schedules, test reports, Master Plans, and Integrated Master Schedules) to determine their accuracy and report inconsistencies
  • Design and implement Test and Evaluation Strategies (TES) and/or Test and Evaluation Master Plans
  • Manage testing, diagnostics, and reporting of inoperable PIV cards as required
  • Support 508 compliance testing and management
  • Develop, review, and approve plans, schedules, and other technical documentation
  • Draft correspondence, reports, minutes, spreadsheets, communications, and other documents
  • Perform quality control activities on project deliverables, and weekly project reporting

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Tester to support our client at the Department of Homeland Security. We are seeking a mid-level resource to assist with various areas of testing of current and new applications/software. Testing is required for all software development that relate to changes requested for any existing software functionality, as well as any new functionality that is installed within an application. The role will be focused on executing testing for user acceptance in addition to supporting Quality Assurance (QA) and enterprise regression testing. Documentation, including but not limited to a Test Report, will be completed to document all findings related to testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with software developers and other technical team members to review system requirements and construct effective test strategies
  • Work with partners, developers, and vendors to specify and validate key functionalities, as well as validate requirements against developed software/systems
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and test cases covering integration, functional, interface, performance, regression, and acceptance testing requirements
  • Create traceability between the Requirements Traceability Matrix and test scenarios; ensure that all the development objectives are met and that the solution works as expected with focus on functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy and/or external systems
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans
  • Lead program support staff during project testing efforts including systems, functional, regression, integration & performance testing
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements; identify and escalate any potential quality issues
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects; verify defect fixes

Create test reports that detail all activities conducted during the testing period and a detailed summary of all test results; prepare test reports outlining test procedures used, data and results obtained, conclusions, and pertinent recommendations and suggestions relative to the acceptability or application of item/system tested
