Software Support Engineer at Instem
We need you to help support our clients using the Blur product, where you will have the ability to speak to clients directly and break down the technical problem. This role will be heavy on support, with a good amount of development coding work to be performed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Developed software using Java 1.8+/Groovy/Spring/SpringBoot
- Exposure using SQL/PostgreSQL
- Strong proficiency with operating systems, mainly Linux and Windows
- Use of GIT/GitLab/Azure DevOps would be advantageous
- Fantastic communication skills, able to support external clients efficiently.

We need you to help support our clients using the Blur product, where you will have the ability to speak to clients directly and break down the technical problem. This role will be heavy on support, with a good amount of development coding work to be performed.
Blur is a dimensional anonymization tool that enables clients to set specific configurations around how Blur ranks and provides recommendations for data transformation. The Blur development team consists of a small, dedicated group with a passion for customer service and a value-orientated product focus.

What are you responsible for?
- Liaise with clients to analyze, triage, troubleshoot and diagnose software problems
- Sustain and monitor all aspects of our Blur software environments (internal/external) with active updates
- Install, upgrade, and configure software on client environments
- Solve client challenges and leverage troubleshooting expertise to provide our clients with best-in-class service and support
- Gathering/generating reports from client environments
- Build/maintain application-specific build/deployment CI/CD pipelines while following corporate guidelines in this area
- Support large-scale application testing including penetration tests, disaster recovery testing, etc.
- Resolve software issues primarily in Java, occasionally in Groovy
- Adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.
