Software Quality Engineer at Fivos

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer. This position will be with our Analytics team


Qualifications

  • BS in computer science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance testing, including: defect tracking, testing strategies, designing/writing test cases
  • 5+ years’ experience in database testing, including advanced SQL scripting skills
  • 3+ years of strong data analytical skills: data flows, objects and transformation logic
  • 3+ years of knowledge or experience with high level programming language (C+, Python, Java or Ruby)
  • Experience (1+ years) with LooKer
  • Ability to code, execute and automate tests that verify source and destination data
  • Ability to code and execute complex SQL queries that validate the accuracy of data in the reports
  • Very detailed communication and written skills
  • Demonstrated success in project team environment – preferably as a co-lead or leader, adhering to deadlines and release
  • Proactive, with strong analytical, team, time management, and project management skills
  • Willing to learn, adapt and adopt new technologies as needed in testing frameworks
  • Knowledge of Software testing process required
  • Experience with Git, Merging and team work in branches

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GMPs, GCPs, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR Part 820 FDA standard, and HIPAA
  • Experience in an agile environment
  • ETL testing experience would be plus
  • Familiarity with FDA Guidance on Clinical Trials
  • Familiarity with Ruby (how to modify/create new code)
  • Familiarity with writing Cucumber features (tests)
  • Familiarity with Confluence administration or QMS administration
  • Familiarity with UI/web testing tools

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer. This position will be with our Analytics team. The primary goal for projects on this team is to verify source and destination data by way of creating/executing automated code, as well as using complex SQL queries in a test and production environment. It is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Candidates should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-directed, and flexible with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Working in a team environment with constant communication and collaboration is a must to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of product requirements documentation.
  • Develop software verification and validation test plans for new products.
  • Perform the validation and verification of product upgrades.
  • Create, perform and maintain manual and automated software test scripts for web-based and client-server applications running on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Create and maintain test data sets and test environments.
  • Generate detailed reports summarizing the testing effort.
  • Review and update software documentation and maintain bug records.
  • Assist in managing the software release process.
  • Ensure compliance with Fivos’ quality system, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA QSR
  • Assist in the development of new software quality initiatives, participate in quality system development, write and review procedures to improve quality and reliability of software.
  • Code and execute the automate tests that verify source and destination data
  • Code and execute complex SQL queries that validate the accuracy of data in the reports
