Requirements:
- 5+ years prior QA experience testing software applications
- Agile process experience
- BA/BS in a technology discipline
- Solid working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and of QA processes and procedures. Has participated in process improvement initiatives.
- Well organized, technically proficient with a strong attention to detail
- Good troubleshooting skills and ability to apply logic to determine the nature of problems, the steps to reproduce them and recommend action plans to resolve them
- Jira experience, PMI certification a plus

Description:
The software quality assurance (SQA) engineer is responsible for monitoring every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards and that software products are developed and released with the highest level of quality possible. The ideal candidate possesses advanced technical and people skills, enjoys being hands-on, has a strong business sense, is a creative and logical thinker who eagerly tackles new projects as they arise, a quick study, willing to go the extra mile, and has a strong desire to succeed personally and as part of a growing business. This role reports to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain test cases, verify new code, full regression testing including system interfaces and implementation of releases.
- Test both new and existing Foundation Source front-end and Administration applications.
- Enter and follow up on issues using the Foundation Source Issue Tracking system.
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of user-reported product technology issues. Work closely with the Financial Operations and Client Services departments.
- Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality of delivered application software.
- Review functional specifications and design documents as they relate to the quality assurance process.
- Perform regression testing and participate in the testing of emergency bug fixes, patches, and major product releases.
