Software Quality and Test Analyst at The Mom Project

We are seeking a Software Quality and Test Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s ongoing business needs.

Must have:

• Minimum of 5 -10 years of applications development experience in a fast-paced web project leveraging above mentioned technologies.
• 5 - 10 years experience as a Software Quality Engineer/Test Engineer /Test Analyst.
• 5-7 years of QA experience is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience performing hands-on testing (both script based and exploratory).
• Experience in testing Microsoft platform upgrade – platform compatibility testing.
• Experience with SQL and data retrieval from a relational database is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of VSTS, Basic knowledge of MTM (Microsoft Test Management Tool).
• Very good understanding of various SDLC processes, including agile development and testing.
• Self-motivated and able to take ownership of assigned work.
• Knowledge in automation tools such as Selenium with C#; API testing using Postman\Fiddler is desired.
• Knowledge of Azure PAAS is desired.
• Understanding of methodologies and delivery of business software solutions with experience in the various SDLC methodologies and working with a DevOps mindset.
• In-depth experience in writing detailed and accurate test cases, test scripts, and test results.
• Experience creating test plans and test strategy documents.
• Experience in Client/Server and Web Applications Testing.
• Ability to derive the Test Scenarios from the Business Requirements.
• Understanding Test Design and writing detailed test cases based on user scenarios.
• Strong experience in Test Execution and Test analysis.
• Working understanding of Database testing skills like writing queries using joins, Stored procedures, and views.
• Working understanding of analyzing test execution results and the creation of appropriate test metrics.
• Analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• HTML and CSS experience.

Education:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, or related technical field, MIS, or equivalent experience is preferred.

We are seeking a Software Quality and Test Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s ongoing business needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Functional, Regression Testing, and Integration Testing of software applications.
• Design test plans and test scenarios, create and execute test cases, and obtain approval from the company's manager.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, analyze bugs, and interact with development team members in fixing the defects.
• Identify the impact of new functionalities and make automation enhancements.
• Document and track defects to closure.
• Collaborate with different teams to understand automation needs and implement the same.
• Demonstrate application of the testing concepts in day-to-day project activities.

Hours & Location

• M-F, 40 hours/week. This position is 100% remote.
