Software QA Engineer II at Pophealthcare Llc

As a Software QA Engineer II, you’ll be part of an application development team, developing plans, executing tests, tracking and reporting results, troubleshooting issues and improving product quality.

Position Essential Functions:

• Help determine test scope, test plans and test cases for QA of the functionality being developed.
• Write robust test cases to test applications, services, and APIs
• Monitor product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality
• Help promote and build a culture of quality assurance within the development team
• Help enable development teams to write quality code by partnering with them and building quality first mindset
• Decompose complex and/or ambiguous requirements or issues and drill down to determine the root cause and resolution
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed.
• Create user test cases as needed for User Acceptance Testing as well as Functional Testing
• Create and implement tests for Performance (load/stress/capacity/failover) testing
• 3+ years of software testing experience
• Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging/testing in distributed systems
• Experience in API and DB testing (e.g. RESTful APIs & SQL databases) preferred
• Self-motivated • Experience working in an agile team
• High attention to detail
• Associates degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
