As a Software Project Manager for iFit, the ideal candidate will need to manage and empower software development teams to build incredible fitness products, websites, and applications.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Experience with managing native (mobile) and/or web development teams
- Strong knowledge of agile development practices, methodologies, and tools. Direct, hands-on experience with writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and coordinating and prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Proficiency in project management software platforms
- Ability to effectively and accurately present information to customers, coworkers, and managers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Outstanding technical and non-technical communication skills
- Ability to understand abstract, complex systems from technical descriptions
- Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues
- A strong, high-level knowledge of common web and mobile platform architectures
- Experience authoring technical user stories and use cases
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year technical/software project management experience

SUMMARY
As a Software Project Manager for iFit, the ideal candidate will need to manage and empower software development teams to build incredible fitness products, websites, and applications. In this position, the candidate will identify, define, analyze, prioritize, and refine technology platform requirements, and will communicate those requirements to our development teams. The Software Project Manager will need to prioritize trade-offs, clarify requirements, and define priorities throughout the development lifecycle. They’ll also work directly with various internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and department managers, as well as with the development teams, to ensure successful translation of those requirements into high-quality software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Define, prioritize, and clarify user stories

Build and groom product backlogs

Produce technically-focused user stories, then collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and feasibility

Responsible for daily scrums with team members and weekly planning sessions

Maintain the functional quality of the work being delivered by setting and evaluating expectations and acceptance criteria

Communicate priorities based on well-defined and measured business cases

Establish goals and metrics to measure effectiveness after release, then monitor and report on progress

Maintain product documentation

Work with other project managers as well as Senior Product Owners to understand use cases, features, business, and technical domain rules, as well as overall product goals
