Software Engineer (React/Node) at Articulate

What you should have:

• Proficiency with frontend technologies (we use React, JavaScript, and S(CSS))
• Proficiency with backend technologies (we use Node.js and Postgres)
• Proficiency using version control in a team-based setting (we use git/github)
• Proficiency writing automated tests
• A proven track record of implementing, shipping and maintaining production software
• A history of collaborative, team-based work
• Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non-engineers alike
• Little need for direct oversight
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship or work experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience

• AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, etc.)
• Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
• Typescript

We’re a fully distributed company with a high degree of autonomy and no office space. At Articulate, you’ll work closely with an awesome team of software engineers and product designers to build industry-leading products and solve interesting problems.

What you'll do:

• Build new features and enhance existing ones with an eye for quality
• Write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with remote teammates
• Review your peers’ work constructively
• Participate in our incident response process, including on-call rotation
• Be part of a growing remote-first company with a world-class culture
• Be responsible for making effective use of your time, focusing on quality results instead of effort
