InnoWave is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team, based in Porto, who can develop solutions based on business requirements.

Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar relevant field
• Previous working experience as a PHP Developer for 3 year(s) - Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
• Knowledge with PHP MVC frameworks (Laravel)
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
• Good knowledge of relational databases and non-SQL DB, version control tools and developing web services
• Experience in common APIs (REST)
• Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as BootStrap
• Excellent capacity to work autonomously or integrated in a team
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proactivity and ability to adapt in a context in which priorities often change
• Developed sense of responsibility, oriented to customer solutions and associated improvements
• Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory)

Software Engineer | PHP (M/F)

Responsibilities

• Develop, record, and maintain cutting edge web-based PHP applications
• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications and collaborate with the other stakeholders - Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions
• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components
• Coordinate with co-developers and keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools
• Participate in the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
• Refactor, optimize and improve the existing codebase for maintenance and scale
• Use test driven development and acceptance tests to ensure feature quality
