Software Engineer I at NAVIENT

Navient's Software Engineer I is responsible for entry-level coding, testing and research for small assignments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree-Computer Science, Computer Technology or related area (Additional experience may substitute).
• 0-1 year software application development experience (Additional education may substitute).

This position will support a federal government contract. Applicants must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance as required of federal government contractors to include a background check conducted by the U.S. Government to determine eligibility and suitability for federal contract employment for public trust or sensitive positions. For this level of clearance, applicants must possess U.S. citizenship.

Navient's Software Engineer I is responsible for entry-level coding, testing and research for small assignments.

Responsibilities include:

• Development/Analysis
• Design, code, debug, test, document and maintain applications software based on established technical design.
• Write test plans and perform test runs.
• Research and resolve production problems.
• Perform system migrations.
• Project/Release Activities
• Attend project/release meetings to learn and understand process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
