Software Engineer at The Mom Project
We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Software Engineer on a contract basis to join our effort to be a premier online destination for all things in our company.
The ideal candidate must have:
- 5+ years of experience writing Restful APIs
- Significant experience writing software in Java and Node.js
- Evidence of exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale web application (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)
- Proven ability to produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
- Experience in AWS
- Strong communication skills and great product sense
- Passion for sports!
- Interest and experience in the latest methodologies go a long way here and we're looking for people who are passionate about the world of value-driven solution delivery.
- Skills in algorithms, and digital marketing.

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Software Engineer on a contract basis to join our effort to be a premier online destination for all things in our company. This role will get to work alongside truly talented teams and help them enhance their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation.
What you’ll do:
- Grow and keep our APIs fast, efficient, and available.
- Collaborate with other amazing engineers to power the most exciting digital experiences for athletes on the market.
- Shape the future of how our client serves their athletes at scale.
- Responsible for building simple and intuitive APIs’ for a very large developer community within our client's company.
- Assesses a well-defined problem and leads the development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural standards.
- Manages small- to moderate-sized solutions, or plays a key role on larger teams, working within the parameters of two to three sprints.
- Provides direction to team members and/or vendors.
- Advises product owners on discrete technology-related business problems; formulates options, including assessing their relative merits and risks; and works with product owners to determine the best solution.
- Bring a broad experience of successfully ideating and delivering value that enables our client to increase productivity, realize efficiencies and build profitable customer experiences.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
