As a Software Engineer on the team, you’ll write code, review pull requests, fix bugs, experience agile development, and application deployment with the latest technologies in the field of containers.


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in software development and engineering
  • Experience in Go or Python development; 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing REST API interfaces
  • Experience with agile and comfortable with rapid iteration and fast delivery
  • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other collaborative code forges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience with the following are considered a plus:
  • Microservice architectures
  • Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Open source software

The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Experience Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will work as a member of a team responsible for delivering the self-service, fully managed platform that powers console.redhat.com. As a Software Engineer on the team, you’ll write code, review pull requests, fix bugs, experience agile development, and application deployment with the latest technologies in the field of containers. You’ll need to be someone who is smart, friendly, collaborative and one who loves to learn. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Implement and deliver features that support Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) billing infrastructure
  • Collaborate and innovate cross-functionally with other engineers and developers to deliver creative solutions for our customers, including product and infrastructure enhancements
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
  • Contribute to technical documentation and presentations
  • Mentor junior members of the team to encourage and develop software development best practices
