Our Rebellion:

Rebellion Defense builds mission-focused AI products for the defense and security of the United States, the United Kingdom, and our allies. We are a well capitalized, venture-backed technology company that creates software which transforms data into decision advantage.

Our people are passionate about creating a company where technologists empower our military and civil servants to solve some of the hardest problems in government. Rebellion Defense is driven by our mission — but a set of core values binds us together: we hire by them, operate through them, and uphold them in every decision we make for ourselves and for our customers.

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

We are looking to add a Software Engineer in a remote capacity with limited travel to our HQ in Washington DC, and/or our Seattle office.

As a Software Engineer, you will help to build Nova, our cyber readiness application that’s specifically created for the defense and security of the United States, the United Kingdom, and our allies. You will be instrumental in the growth of Rebellion by working as a member of a team, delivering new capabilities, maintaining a high standard, ownership, and pride in your craft.

This role reports to the Cyber Readiness Engineering Manager.

What your mission is:

  • Operate across multiple layers of the stack to build a fault-tolerant, performant, and scalable cyber security platform.
  • Write and read code that’s predominantly Python/JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Work with your team to create and maintain continuous builds, tests, developer tooling, a constructive code-review process, and a supportive culture of identifying and fixing bugs/vulnerabilities.
  • Contribute to areas of the product that interest you and that you feel you can apply your best self toward.
  • Collaborate with other engaged engineers to understand our customer’s mission and use cases so that you can help deliver the core of the Nova application.
  • Dive into security to protect our own code and to deliver critical capabilities to our customers.

Your Rebel Team:

Product and Engineering: Rebellion's Product and Engineering teams work in close partnership to identify and understand our customers pain points and needs and then to build products that solve their areas of concern. Leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, Rebellion’s products provide clearer visibility and more in-depth understanding of the threat landscape in order to support successful mission execution. Our products are designed to deliver comprehensive battlespace awareness, autonomous mission execution, and cyber readiness to our defense and national security customers.
