What It Takes

• BS in Computer Science or other technical discipline (Required)
• 6 -12 months in systems analysis, design, integration and development experience (Desired)
• 6-12 months of programming and scripting (perl and shell) experience (helpful, not required)
• 6-12 months of EDI experience (helpful, not required)
• Knowledge of communications standards such as SFTP and AS2 (Desired)
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Customer facing experience gaining Client Requirements (Desired)

The Opportunity

OpenText is seeking a Software Engineer for our Americas Integration Team in our Cloud Services Solutions Delivery Organization. The Software Engineer is responsible for design, development, configuration, and production deployment of the solution for Opentext Managed Services customers. Under direction of a Sr Software Engineer, the Software Engineer will carry out client implementations in the hosted Managed Services environment. Knowledge of EDI standards and familiarity with open communications standards such as ftp, http, AS2, SFTP will be required as part of the implementation activities.

You Are Great At

• Identify and design Managed Services solution to ensure it meets user requirements and specifications
• Configure Enterprise relationships and Application Integrator trading partnerships
• Work with Sr Software Engineer to document, configure and test maps and trading partner requirements
• Interact with mapping development teams to create and execute Customer Acceptance Test Plans
• Deploy mappings on Pre-Production and Production Environments
• Create and review design documents for Solutions Management/Production Support handoffs
• Stabilize Managed Service Solution for turnover to Production Support
