Skills (Desired and/or required):

  • Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Development IDE's, GitHub or GitLab for source code management
  • Practical exposure with Development IDEs and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools like GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins, to merge development with testing through pipelines
  • Knowledge of Agile framework, Scrum methodologies and knowledge of tools used to support them

Strong Debugging Skills

  • Proficient in Java
  • Desirable for knowledge of PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Bash, Groovy, VMWARE

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience

Required Certifications:

  • Must maintain IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher)


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Candidate will help create and maintain automation content to facilitate enforcement of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance. The content leverages the capabilities of several configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef and Microsoft PowerShell DSC. Using these tools helps to deploy customizable STIG-centric configuration settings to an environment. Automation content development adopts a similar approach to that of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) benchmarks.

Ideal candidate will have experience with Ansible, Chef and/or PowerShell DSC. Knowledge of DISA STIGs, desired. Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems is necessary. Candidate must understand basic cybersecurity principles and modern application development practices and technologies. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The candidate will also require strong debugging skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in an agile team environment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000-$117,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
