Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) within the Media & Entertainment team, you will design, engineer, and deliver AWS Solutions with considerable impact for AWS customers. We are looking for world class software development engineers to deliver software solutions focused on helping jump start customer’s cloud workloads. You will work with product management, customers, and your software development team to deliver AWS Solutions and build an open-source community that drives Media & Entertainment innovation on AWS.

- This position can be located in any city in the United States.
- Degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Experience developing cloud native services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
- Understanding of Media & Entertainment business and Media & Entertainment specific workloads including: Broadcast, Direct to Consumer, Content Production, Media Asset and Supply Chain and Media Intelligence.
- Regular and Reduced Time (F, R) jobs based in New York City and the surrounding vicinity (including the 5 boroughs - Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island) or US virtual jobs that could be performed in New York City.
The pay range for this position in New York City is $158,100- 213,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
