Description

• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 1+ years of experience in software development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm design.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language such as C++, C#, Java.

We acquire videos from customers, brands, and influencers and surface them across Amazon. From unboxing videos to side by side comparisons we strive to have helpful videos for every step in the customer journey. Our challenges for the future are wide and varied, from auto-generating video thumbnails to gamifying our video creation experience. We need to make the technology and architectural decisions that will underpin a platform required to scale to millions of videos and billions of views worldwide. As an SDE, you will be focusing on creating scalable video management systems. You will be working within a large organization and interact with senior engineers, applied scientists, UX designers and product managers. You will be using a variety of technologies, own features end-to-end, and help us re-invent videos on Amazon.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership with a high bar for quality
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience developing in AWS-based infrastructure
• Experience with modern web technologies including HTML 5 / CSS 3 / JS.
• Experience with video encoding
  
  

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,500 - $160,000 (hr/yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
