Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline or 4 years professional software development experience
• Proficiency with object-oriented design and programming, preferably with Typescript or similar object-oriented programming language
• Experience with distributed computing including containerization technology such as Docker
• Experience interfacing with databases, preferably with Postgres
• Experience developing application programming interfaces, preferably with GraphQL
• Experience developing single page applications, preferably with Angular
• Knowledge of software design principles and design patterns
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Roles and Responsibilities

• Designs and develops components within Traction’s farm management information system information system.
• Tests features implemented by the development team to verify proper operation and to identify regressions introduced in other areas.
• Investigates issues and recommends solutions for them.
• Reviews and provides feedback on source code changes implemented by others.
• Actively participates in software development life cycle (Scrum) meetings and ceremonies.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
