• Knowledge of T-SQL development, computer languages including .NET, Java, C, & C++, development methods and techniques, data structures, database management, & customer service techniques.
• Ability to analyze end-user systems and program needs, & manage large data processing system.
• Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
• Skill in designing system processes and software applications, & configuring systems and software.
• Skill in researching computer topics via the Internet and other on-line sources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

• Analyzes, plans, procures, designs, installs, and maintains complete application systems across the company.
• Ensures all development policies are met.
• Provides ongoing maintenance for systems, applications, and data files.
• Provides customer service by communicating with departments, identifying user needs and requests, researching trends, software, evaluating environments, coding and/or monitoring applications, & providing related information to users.
• Assesses user’s information requirements by interviewing affected agency personnel; determines what information is needed and defines how to present it effectively.
• Designs system components such as forms, reports, screen formats, files and databases.
• Performs work during emergency/disaster situations.
• Serves as a consultant to department heads and staff by assessing needs and recommending appropriate hardware and software.
• Reviews technical journals and relevant literature to stay current with the changes in technology. Provides guidance in areas of technical expertise such as database management, high level languages, system software, or data communications.
