Software Developer at Health Advocate

This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining multiple software products/applications for both internal processes and customer solutions.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required with major course work in computer science, business information systems, or a related field required.
• Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience using C#, preferably in a healthcare industry.
• 3+ years of experience developing applications using any of the following, Java Script, Python, Java, .Net, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery etc.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
• Adaptable and able to pick up new technologies.
• Experienced in the use of various software development tools such as source code control and debugging tools

Preferred:

• Proficient with ASP.NET framework
• Working knowledge of Microsoft tools (SSDT, SSRS, Power BI)
• Healthcare domain knowledge.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Summary

This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining multiple software products/applications for both internal processes and customer solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional team members and clients to understand and analyze the business requirements and function specifications of new/existing projects. Work in conjunction with database administrators/developers to integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Work with project managers and quality analysts to automate the data flow and validation process. Promote best practices via mentoring and code reviews. Assist team members in handling project related work and other requirements.
