The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

The Distribution System Access team in Distribution Technology, part of the Global Retail Market (GRM) organization, is looking for two Senior Software Engineers to bring their passion and skill for software, architecture, and engineering practices to develop and support products. In this role, you’ll be part of an agile squad focused on maintaining and building out solutions which enable system access and security for applications. The team works with a range of technologies such as Angular and React interfaces, REST, WASLP, Spring Boot services, and OIDC, SAML, WS-Fed Security Protocols using IDP’s like Ping Federate, Ping Access and Auth0. While this is a software engineer position, a working knowledge of windows security as well as networking technologies and protocols help with solutioning and support. The team is also responsible for the monitoring, support, and maintenance of the solutions they deliver.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with a team of software engineers to deliver complex software solutions
  • Work in an agile environment with business stakeholders, product owner, solutions engineer and other team members to review and refine stories and execute on them using excellent engineering practices
  • Use your technical knowledge to analyze technical system problems and design and implement effective solutions
  • Hands-on development, problem resolution, and knowledge of our technical stack
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the team
  • Be curious and innovate through the use of new tools and techniques
  • Provide periodic off-hours production deployments and support
