  • Must be self-motivated and results driven, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience working in Agile /Scrum teams.
  • Mobile experience is a plus.

Job Summary

As a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst you will plan and execute activities to ensure the overall quality and stability of Paycor software products releases. An Analyst is responsible for identifying and creating an overall test strategy and documenting and executing test plans to ensure the product meets requirements. We work within an Agile methodology so be prepared to move fast and step beyond traditional QA duties to reach your teams definition of done. You must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, quality assurance concepts, and manual and automated testing techniques. It is key for he/she to identify opportunities to shift from manual testing to automation to improve efficiency and outcome. Additionally, he/she will ensure seamless transition from QA and Staging environments to production, which will include working with a SaaS Development Operations (DevOps) group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • With the Agile team, provide accurate estimates for user stories and QA test plans for each sprint.
  • Partner with the Agile development team to deliver on commitments.
  • Collaborate with peers in QA and Development to share information and resolve issues
  • Document, track, and report on product defects.
  • Work with Agile team to reduce manual/repetitive tasks and assist with writing test automation cases.
  • Oversee and/or perform the execution of test cases to assure functionality meets the business needs.
  • Evaluate testing results and document testing issues in a quality assurance tracking system;
  • Make recommendations for long-term improvements.
  • Provide testing metrics for test case progress and defect issuance.
  • Create user and training documentation of new functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Support Team in troubleshooting production issues.
  • Keep QA process documentation up to date and champion process improvements.
  • Oversee offshore testing resources ensuring successful handoffs through clear communication.
  • Mentor and assist other QA associates.
  • Keep current with quality testing trends and lead the development of new techniques, tools and processes.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and design spec reviews to contribute quality requirements and ensure testability.
  • Participate in automation and manual test plan reviews and code reviews.
