Sagitec is seeking Sr. Software Test Engineer to work with systems development teams, architects, and client stakeholders in our pension vertical.


Qualifications:

  • Well conversant with testing/QA processes (verification and validation).
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Exposure to different testing levels and methods.
  • Excellent testing skills – requirement analysis, test designing, test execution, bug reporting, and verifying fixed bugs.
  • Good SQL/database skills (reading test data, adding/updating test data in database/comparing results in database).
  • Experience in interface testing.
  • Experience of working in fast paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Time management skills.
  • Experience with any test management tool.
  • Experience with any automation tool.
  • Pension domain knowledge.
  • Experience in communicating and handling teams from different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference is given for experience with pension administration or benefit claim systems.
  • Experience with multiple implementation methodologies (e.g., AGILE, waterfall).

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Management, Math, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree a plus.


Description:

Sagitec is seeking Sr. Software Test Engineer to work with systems development teams, architects, and client stakeholders in our pension vertical. The role involves performing Testing and system analysis for clients looking to modernize or upgrade existing business processes and systems. You will be responsible for the testing and implementation of the system to create an application that satisfies our clients’ unique business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Study client's business and system documentation.
  • Participate in meetings with BA team and client SMEs for clarification and definition of requirements.
  • Collaborate with client SMEs and Sr. BAs to identify testing scenarios that closely follow business processes. Test scenarios include everyday calculations as well as exception cases and boundary conditions.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to develop detailed test scripts using business test conditions.
  • Document the test scenarios and detailed steps in NeoTrack for repeated execution in various phases of testing such as unit, system testing, system integration testing, regression, and life-cycle testing.
  • Write SQL queries to prepare data for the execution of test scenarios.
  • Plan and participate in the execution of testing in various phases such as unit, system testing, system integration testing, regression and life cycle testing.
  • Peer review of TCs/test scenarios/test results.
  • Status reporting to lead/manager (testing progress reports, defect reports).
