Senior Python Developer at Momnt

The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping us develop a wide variety of projects leveraging PostgreSQL, Django and Python.

You’d be a good fit if:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years leveraging Django with Python.
• 3+ years of experience in Postgres.
• Strong understanding of basic software design patterns, unit testing, object-oriented language principles, functional language principles
• REST based API's.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Competency in JIRA, Lucid Charts, Figma, Google Suite and/or Microsoft applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, mathematics, and statistics, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience with startups or fintech is a plus.

Momnt is a fast-growing startup fintech company headquartered in Atlanta, GA with team members remote throughout the country. We are looking for SR Python Developer to help build out exciting new products and maintain our core software platform!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping us develop a wide variety of projects leveraging PostgreSQL, Django and Python. This is a small team where you will have an impact!

As a SR Python Developer, you will:

• Responsible for writing structured, clean, reusable, and testable code using Python and Django
• Ownership of your projects from start to finish: ensuring that development activities are on a target path
• Able to work both in a team environment and as an individual contributor
• Participating in requirements gathering sessions and be able to translate business needs into solutions.
• Collaborate with internal partners to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and track and monitor trends to proactively solve problems
• Use a variety of technologies across the entire backend software stack
• Your work will transform an entire industry
