SR Mobile Developer Role

Job Summary

The Senior Mobile Developer is responsible for providing software development and maintenance of mobile applications for the client while providing technical leadership and direction for junior mobile developers on the team. Additionally, you partner with the enterprise architecture team to drive the ongoing evolution of mobile development.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce engineering best practices using modern standards and patterns.
• Review unit test plans, tests, and code coverage to ensure high quality delivery.
• Implement engineering excellence by enforcing regular code reviews, continuous integration, high test code
• coverage, on-going code refactoring and adequate documentation.
• Architect and develop scalable and maintainable applications by creating self-contained, reusable, and
• testable Modules and Components.
• Work within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies including agile, scrum, iterative
• and waterfall to support the success of the larger IT organization.
• Learn rapidly and continuously take advantage of new technologies, concepts, and business models.
• Display the initiative to develop applications in a self-directed and self-disciplined manner.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to make recommendations to enhance business processes
• and/or create competitive advantage.
• Work collaboratively with developers and other project team members.
• Read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships.
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured/constructive way, when connecting with others.
• Provide robust analytic thinking to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues.
• Provide production support to assigned lines of business and applications which includes handling initiatives
• and small development requests, resolving issues and removing defects.
• Lead development efforts on projects overseeing the development efforts of one or more developers ensuring
• the clients' standards are followed, and business requirements are fulfilled.
• Participate in planning and prioritization sessions to understand scope and provide estimates for coding.
• Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner and escalate any risks to Management proactively.
• Provide consistent and concise status reports as requested by Management.
• Mentoring junior team members and ensure they adhere to determined software quality standards.
• Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments, and perspectives.

Required Qualification (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
• Minimum of eight years successful experience in software development delivering superior technical solutions to fulfill critical business initiatives in an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of mobile development technologies including Objective C / Swift, the iOS SDK, and/or the Android SDK and the willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
• Experience with .NET is preferred but not required.
• Ability to provide superior code development for complex assignments concurrently, positive
• attitude and initiative, high degree of analytical and interpersonal skills, and teamwork approach.
• Additional experience should include how to apply development efforts to achieve business
• objectives and revenue goals.
• Full-time job (40 hours weekly).
