QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years in object-oriented software development
• 5+ years in web
• 5+ years in commercial or enterprise software development
• Knowledge of or previous experience with the following technologies:
• ASP.NET MVC 5
• JavaScript / ES6
• SQL Server
• VB.NET
• C#
• .NET Core 6
• React
• AWS technologies: ECS, Cognito, S3 etc.
• Excellent technical coding skills including object-oriented programming
• Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal direction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical documentation and communicate via phone and videoconference with internal and external customers
• Familiarity with the level of security typical of the finance industry
• Experience in the mortgage industry is a plus but not required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Stable broadband/high-speed internet connection
• Access to a quiet workspace

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position at a computer 100% of the time (excluding breaks) during which time the person must be able to observe and modify typewritten text on a computer screen. The person in this position must be able to set up their workspace including positioning computer equipment and monitors, which may require lifting up to 15 pounds at times.

JOB SUMMARY: Byte Software, a leading provider of mortgage loan origination software to the lending industry, is hiring a Senior Full Stack Web Developer to help propel the development of our next generation of software products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Migrate features from our primary WinForms application to ASP.NET MVC using VB.NET, JavaScript, and SQL Server
• Participate in the development of a secondary application using C#, .NET Core 6, React, and AWS
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to iteratively refine features
• Troubleshoot and code-review both new code and legacy code
• Comply with evolving application security standards
• Adhere to and be compliant, as applicable, with GLBA, FCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAP, as well as all other federal, state and local laws, and company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
