Senior Front End Engineer at ON24

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience designing and developing high quality and standards-based web applications in HTML/Javascript/CSS. Candidates must thrive in a startup-like environment and possess maturity and business savvy.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Self-starter, proactive, positive, creative, and flexible.
• 5+ years of JavaScript programming experience.
• 5+ years of CSS (Knowledge of CSS3 a must)
• 2+Professional experience of using VueJS framework.
• Professional experience of using NuxtJSf ramework.
• Professional experience of using NodeJS
• Expert-level experience with AJAX & JSON.
• Professional experience with webpack module bundler tool or similar.
• Understanding Front end design patterns and incorporating them in the codebase.
• Working knowledge of new HTML5 technologies.
• Past hands-on experience building web applications for mobile devices.
• Discipline to document ideas and code in a clear, comprehensive and organized manner
• Experience troubleshooting issues in production

Nice to Have:

• Experience with router pattern and state management pattern.
• Write tests to drive your JavaScript development, using unit or functional test.
• Understanding dependency/task managers (npm, yarn).
• Experience with ECMAScript new features.
• Understanding code versioning tools such as Git
• Understanding accessibility principles (WCAG)
• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with CSS frameworks as Tailwind
• Experience with other libraries/frameworks like React or Angular.
• CSS pre-processors.
• Experience optimizing code for site speed and performance.

Education:

• Masters degree in computer science or equivalent

The Software Engineer will help design, develop, and maintain ON24’s web applications. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience designing and developing high quality and standards-based web applications in HTML/Javascript/CSS. Candidates must thrive in a startup-like environment and possess maturity and business savvy. You will be part of a small but talented engineering team building next generation of Rich Media Experiences using J2EE and HTML and related standards.

Responsibilities:

• Be a part of agile/scrum team for GoLive platform.
• Develop next-gen HTML-based rich media and interactive Virtual Event web application.
• Build web applications optimized for mobile and tablet devices using the new HTML5 and related standards (CSS3, SVG) using modern frameworks as VueJS and NuxtJS.
• Enhance scalability and reliability of existing applications
• Provide troubleshooting and 2nd-tier support for existing applications

The base pay range for this position is $170,000 - $185,000. This range is not a guarantee of actual compensation that may be earned nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee, which is always dependent on relevant experience, education, skills, location, and other applicable factors.
