Senior DevOps Engineer at Landing

This role will contribute to our core product platform infrastructure, deploying scalable, reliable cloud architecture to enable our engineering teams to deliver features quickly and securely.

What You Need:

• Exceptional written communication skills
• Ability to make concise, thoughtful decisions in a reasonable amount of time
• Strong experience with AWS (or another public cloud)
• Experience designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud architectures
• Experience setting up monitoring and alerting on cloud infrastructure
• Experience working with containers and containerized applications
• Experience with bash or a similar scripting language

Nice to Have:

• Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience building security into the software development lifecycle
• Experience building web applications and APIs with Ruby on Rails or another web MVC framework
• Experience with cloud governance, compliance, and similar

About the Role:

The infrastructure and security team is looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to our growing team. Member experience is a top priority for Landing, and that requires a stable platform, uncompromising security for our members, and developer tooling that enables quick iteration. You’ll help push forward new features and improve the experience for both Landing members and internal teams.

This role will contribute to our core product platform infrastructure, deploying scalable, reliable cloud architecture to enable our engineering teams to deliver features quickly and securely. In your first week you will push code to production, and in your first six months you will own one large feature from start to finish. We operate with an emphasis on ownership and autonomy. You won’t always be given all the details - you will have to talk to people and ask questions in order to understand the problems you are solving. We would prefer a person who has built web application features, but this is not specifically a requirement. If this prospect excites you, come join us!

What You'll Do:

• Work directly with engineering teams to design and develop infrastructure and tools that help engineers ship quickly and safely
• Implement observability tooling to help all engineering teams understand platform health and performance
• Collaborate with a thoughtful, motivated team of engineers to understand tradeoffs of different solutions
• Implement infrastructure changes to increase the security and stability of the platform.
• Consult and coach across the entire engineering organization to help teams follow best practices in security and developer process
• Take ownership of platform cloud infrastructure, from design to deployment through monitoring and maintenance

Base salary: $150,000-$190,000
