What we need from you:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 8+ years of experience in web development
- Experienced with ground up development in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript technologies
- Experience initiating new developments using libraries such as jQuery, EmberJS or AngularJS
- Experience selecting and starting development with one or more server-side languages, such as Ruby, Node.js or Python, and popular libraries and frameworks (e.g., Rails, ExpressJS, Django, etc.)
- Demonstrated database experience, general SQL knowledge
- Proficient in the use of web security models (authentication/authorization, SSL encryption, etc)
- Familiar with implementing secure web app development practices and is aware of common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQLi, etc.)
- Disciplined good programming practices (documentation, version control, communication)
- Familiar with web “best practices” for mobile/desktop responsive sites and cross-browser support
- Proficient with Git version control for development
- Familiar with implementing secure web app development practices and is aware of common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQLi, etc.)
- Experience working with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure web services and a demonstrated history of configuration and management of Linux servers running on those platforms
- Experienced with Agile software development methodologies
- Experienced with automated testing best practices
- Unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
- What’s a bonus to have:
- Deep service-oriented architecture and REST services knowledge
- Ability to design/mock-up UI wireframes in Adobe XD
- Understanding of User Stories, Journey Mapping, and other tools available to help customers define requirements

Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer
DornerWorks is a designer of complete IoT solutions, from the cloud down to the “thing”. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, full-stack web developer to complement our embedded systems expertise. This candidate would be intrinsically motivated to engage our customers in sales opportunities and develop web applications connecting complex embedded products primarily in the software as a medical device space.
As the market for next-gen connected products expands, this role has significant opportunity to participate in strategy, business development, and team leadership. You will be pivotal in shaping the future of one of DornerWorks’ growth areas!
What you will be doing:
• Architect scalable data processing solutions
• Design, develop and maintain web applications to support our customers product
• Manage cloud services and troubleshoot servers
• Design and maintain structured and unstructured data stores
• Collaborate and coordinate with designer and developer teams to create a seamless solution for customers
• Mentor interns and peers in your area of expertise
• Lead technical teams on projects
• Work with management to refine and mature processes for successful web development in the Medical industry
• Interface directly with the customer to guide the development process
• Work with sales to:
o develop business relations.
o provide detailed work estimates for new business.
o showcase project highlights.
