Criterion Systems is seeking a Senior Automation Testing Engineer to provide support for the modernization of the U.S. Forest Service Chief Information Office (CIO), Natural Resource Manager (NRM) suite of applications.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check
• Bachelors Degree
• 7+ years of experience
• 3 years - Systems and programming experience required
• 3+ years of experience of functional end-to-end testing, system testing, batch processing, user acceptance testing, regression, and test automation.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, Test Driven Development and continuous integration processes
• Must have experience in Sonarqube, Cucumber, Katalon, Selenium, Java
• Familiarity in one or more of these- AWS, UI test automation, back-end service test automation, device side test automation
• Industry-leading technical abilities showcasing a breadth and depth of technical knowledge
• Experience building good working relationships
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Experience building software test systems that have been successfully deployed in support of continuous development/deployment and release readiness.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Effective technical leadership skills to improve technologies and infrastructure of the team.
• Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects

Criterion Systems is seeking a Senior Automation Testing Engineer to provide support for the modernization of the U.S. Forest Service Chief Information Office (CIO), Natural Resource Manager (NRM) suite of applications. The contract supports the customer with DEVOPS, DEVSECOPS, and Architecture support.

The right individual should have experience with complex technology implementations, with an eye toward constant re-engineering and refactoring to ensure the simplest and most elegant system possible to accomplish the desired need. Understands how to maximally leverage the open-source community to deploy systems on infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers. Comfortable with transparently sharing knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team and working within agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Build continuous test and deployment systems.
• Help define software engineering test best practices
• Designing and building software for testing applications
• Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts.
• Defines and maintains test system configurations, test data.
• Performs test executions and writes test scripts for complex integrated systems.
• Defines and manages software test environments.
• Establishes goals and objectives for appropriate testing cycles. Defines and maintains test standards and quality assurance tasks.
• Implements test processes on projects, writes test plans, procedures and scripts, and analyzes test results.
• Produce reports and documentation for all automated testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and tracking.
