Requirements:

• To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
• Demonstrated expertise in handling security findings across diverse technologies, including Linux, Windows, Applications, .Net, etc.
• Proven ability to analyze complex security issues and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to adapt to evolving security threats and technologies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills to record and communicate security-related information effectively.
• Previous experience in effectively working remotely and providing remote support.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, ensuring the completion of the 40-hour workweek.
• Hold relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent preferred.
• This position has responsibilities that include working with a government contractor, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

This is a full-time, temporary remote position. This temp position is expected to last 6 months with an opportunity to become a regular, long-term position.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to identify and address security vulnerabilities highlighted in Nessus Tenable reports.
• Execute strategies to remediate security findings on both systems and network infrastructure promptly.
• Utilize your diverse technical skills in Linux, Windows, Applications, .Net, and other relevant technologies to implement effective security solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of security findings, remediation efforts, and preventive measures implemented.
• Work collaboratively with the client remotely to address security findings and ensure the integrity of systems and networks.
• In the event of breaking functionality during evening work, the engineer is expected to address and resolve the issue promptly, following proper procedures for backups and snapshots.
• Maintain regular communication with the team, providing daily documentation of work activities, milestones, and any issues encountered.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to immediate issue resolution.
