Mutual of Omaha's React Frontend Engineers design and develop our next-generation insurance and financial applications.


ABOUT YOU:

  • Professionally solved front-end engineering and implementation challenges over the last 6+ years, with 4 or more years in React.

Proficient with:

  • JS patterns, standards, and best practices
  • JS ES/6/7/8 without need of libraries such as jQuery
  • React lifecycles, hooks, and state paradigms
  • JS core fundamentals: hoisting, immutability, storage, persistence, and efficiency
  • Module builders such as Webpack
  • Client/server relationship and working with rest endpoints
  • CSS experience, SCSS, SASS, minification, extraction
  • Event-driven UI’s and async event messaging (e.g. SSE/Websockets)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of leading UX design patterns.
  • Able to create mockups/wireframes to support new system requirements.
  • Understanding how to unit/functional test code.
  • Understands the Agile mindset and iterative development process.
  • Steers productive team communication and collaboration on problem-solving.
  • Driven to pick-up new tech through research and investigation.

  • Developing new user-facing features and products using React, Redux, and TypeScript.
  • Building reusable components and frontend libraries for future use.
  • Designing and implementing cohesive and easy-to-use user interfaces.

  • Modernizing existing products using new technologies.
  • Collaborating with development teams and performing code reviews.
