What your background should look like

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science or Four plus years of equivalent with relevant experience
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Must be highly self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and share knowledge with contacts at all levels.
  • Two (2) or more years’ of proven experience implementing various testing methodologies and test automation tools and techniques.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Postman & other API testing tools
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment practices (CI/CD) and other DevOps tools
  • Exposure to Medical & Pharmacy Claims processing systems and interfaces
  • Exposure to PCI, SOC2 & HIPAA and other compliance regimes

What you will be doing

The Quality Assurance Engineer supports the implementation of company products through the successful planning, design, and execution of manual and automated tests on application development, API integration and other software projects. This key role must coordinate with user teams to translate user stories into test plans and test cases. This role will also work closely with the software development team giving feedback on specifications, input on design, and validating functionality and usability.

You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, and testability,

What will you do?

  • Design, manage and maintain all quality assurance practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of trends and developments regarding best practices relating to quality assurance. Lead the design and implementation of tools, skills, infrastructure and process improvements required to achieve business objectives.
  • Utilize fact and data-driven metrics to communication performance and test results, promote cross-functional communication and ensure adequate information flow within the organization and with clients as required to ensure company standards are maintained and SLAs are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Developers and Program Managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation for QA related projects and other activities such as system integration and certifications.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as time tracking, activity reporting including support for audits and/or external client reviews as required.
  • Manage the onboarding process and mentor new team members ensuring people are onboarded successfully into teams

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
