We need one to Work closely with team SME(s) and senior colleagues to understand the specific domain, its products, and how it all fits together.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience creating and executing automation test scripts using industry standard automation and testing tools such as Selenium, Soap UI, Postman, JMeter, Appium, Cucumber etc.
• API Testing and API Automation (must)
• Proficient in SQL, particularly MSSQL and PGSQL
• Strong attention to deadlines and detail – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to articulate complex scenarios, simplifying them as needed
• Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Robust oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Deep understanding of the SDLC project delivery methods
• Firm functional understanding of formal QA testing methodologies
• Extensive experience planning, designing, documenting, organizing, executing, and evaluating test cases
• Familiar with one or more issue tracking and test case management platforms
• Good basic understanding of QA and Testing processes
• ISTQB/ASTQB Certification preferred
• College degree in database systems, computer science, information technology, or related field required

Description:

The Quality Assurance Analyst assures and builds confidence in the quality of our software, ensuring tickets are seen through to test completion by working both collaboratively and independently. This is a highly technical position that involves troubleshooting issues, devising solutions, creating and managing task artifacts, and ensuring that the testing approach for each project is traceable, reproducible, and measurable.

Role & Responsibilities

• Work closely with team SME(s) and senior colleagues to understand the specific domain, its products, and how it all fits together.
• Facilitate the creation of clear, well-written tickets to allow for easy interpretation of reported defects and suggested improvements.
• Build high functioning relationships with the team’s Business Analyst(s) and Product Owner(s).
• Share ownership of the domain with team, working with developers to deliver continually higher quality products.
• Create automated tests and automated test repositories that can be used in a continuous delivery SDLC.
• Collaborate directly with team throughout all phases of the SDLC, offering insights into quality concerns and helping to define accurate estimates for deliverables, embracing shift left QA principles.
• Design and Execute test cases and validate the front-end application, middleware and backend applications.
• Maintain traceability between test scripts and requirements.
• Document software defects in detail and report to developers and track.
• Bug fix verification and validation.
• Perform functional, nonfunctional, acceptance, confirmation, and regression testing for the products created and managed by the domain team.
• Collect, utilize, and maintain quality-related data/metrics to build understanding, make decisions about quality/testing in a strategic way
• Manage test environment for integration testing activities.
• Communicate statuses, roadblocks, resource needs, and other important issues to the manager.
• Commit to continuous professional development, keeping abreast with current industry trends, tools, technologies, and opportunities and attending conferences, seminars, and workshops.
