Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree: healthcare related field preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Quality Analyst
  • 1-2 years as a supervisor/trainer
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced Skills PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook

Preferred:

  • Experience with SurveyMonkey, Microsoft forms, or other survey/data collection platforms.
  • SQL, and/or Smartsheets
  • Experience with online training platforms
  • Graphic design skills – ability to communicate data visually with an aesthetic eye
  • Understanding of the denials and appeals process, MCG/InterQual, Revenue Cycle Management

The Quality Analyst will perform day-to-day training operations for applicable service lines including Level of Care, Appeals, Payor Peer to Peer, Continued Stay Review, etc. Assist with supervising trainer and trainee performance, provide feedback to all parties. Work cooperatively with business owners by providing subject matter expertise on quality assurance methodology, operational processes, and best practices. Support QA initiatives and programs including revising criteria, managing the QA team schedule, creating, and archiving QA educational materials. Assist with other QA programs including random audits, client and internal escalations, quality enhancement programs, and focus reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Training responsibilities include
  • Facilitate onboarding, working with HR and IT to ensure a smooth transition of selected candidates to new hire status. Help new hires plan travel, set up training conference agendas, and organize training sessions
  • Create, maintain, and assign training materials, in conjunction with service line leaders and management (including SOPs, training presentations, proficiency quizzes, etc.)
  • Create and maintain schedule for trainers and trainees - optimize resources in relation to the daily productivity demands of PAS.
  • Review trainer feedback, tabulate results, and report quality analysis. Manage the auditing workflow to ensure completion, accuracy of results, and meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Track and report trainee progress from hiring to graduation, including quality and productivity metrics, recommend advancement and graduation as appropriate
  • Provide trainees and trainers with routine feedback on performance
  • Analyze and report on training trends, make recommendations to improve performance and efficiency
  • Directly address internal quality and productivity concerns with regards to training progress ad trainer efficiency. Triage emails and ensure transparency in the QA process.
  • Support QA processes
  • Assist with quality enhancement programs (QEP) – as above, for authors who need re-training. Includes coordinating schedules, tracking and reporting on progress, relaying when QEP requirements are complete
  • Coordinating QA team schedules
  • Support daily QA processes including assigning, tracking, and reconciling random audits and escalated cases for the QA team. Help maintain an archive of ongoing educational topics, clinical enrichments, and IRRs
  • Help troubleshoot basic issues as they arise, and test technology platforms as requested to support QA and Training operations
  • Other duties as assigned
