Assemble is looking for a QA Software Engineer to join our fun, creative and highly dedicated team.

Required Expertise:

• 3+ years of professional experience creating & executing manual tests of web and mobile applications
• 1+ years of professional experience creating & executing automated tests of web and mobile applications
• 3+ years of professional experience experience participating in requirements reviews, design reviews and sprint planning & backlog grooming
• Thorough understanding of QA processes in an agile development environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail, including ability to interface effectively with external customers
• Ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Coding experience with Javascript, CSS, React, Swift, AWS
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with complex applications
• Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify root cause
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• This position is full-time and candidate must be authorized to work in the US
• All candidates will be required to participate in one or more Technical Screenings

QA Software Engineer

Assemble is looking for a QA Software Engineer to join our fun, creative and highly dedicated team. We are seeking a QA professional with experience working with the latest web technologies to test and build automations for our custom software projects. The candidate will function as the lead QA engineer on multiple projects working with other software engineers in our Seattle, WA office. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work independently as well as with teams, and loves the challenge of new and ever-changing projects and technologies.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be responsible for the delivered quality of our custom software projects while collaborating with a team of experienced and diverse software engineers and designers. Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
• Participate in requirements review, design review, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospective meetings
• Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test suites and test cases
• Perform manual testing on multiple projects
• Work effectively with development team members, product management, contract staff, and customer engineers to solve extremely challenging technical and design problems
• Occasionally design, create and maintain automated test projects to verify the performance and functionality of software products and services
• Perform testing workload across multiple concurrent projects with different sprint cycles and release deadlines
• Manage testing hardware and software assets
