QA Engineer at ROAR for Good
We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure our software meets quality standards and functional specifications by evaluating our testing needs and developing test coverage of our end-to-end system utilizing manual and automated testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years QA experience in an IT environment with formal test tools and common software quality standards Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role
- Experience with SDLC (software development life cycle)
- Experience with testing integrated systems (experience with hardware integration testing is a plus)
- Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Experience executing and coordinating integration, system, regression and user-acceptance testing.
- Experience in integrating and running automation suites with CI/CD tools
- Experience in automating applications using front end testing frameworks such as Selenium and/or Wallaby
- Experience in building complex SQL, PostgreSQL queries to validate data in the database
- Experience with API testing
- Experience with mobile testing is a plus
- Experience testing applications built with Elixir is a plus
- Experience as a manual tester and/or managing manual testers is a plus
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills

Description
We are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure our software meets quality standards and functional specifications by evaluating our testing needs and developing test coverage of our end-to-end system utilizing manual and automated testing. This role will work with the product development team, developing test scenarios and cases in line with the system requirements, as well as coordinating new releases. They will also own the defect triage process which includes identifying, reproducing, documenting, and prioritizing bugs.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze system specifications to determine testing needs
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with our engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute and/or manage resources to complete manual testing as needed
- Setup test frameworks and help integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline
- Develop, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts
- Test system functions with real sample and simulated data sets
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Conduct functional and integration tests to ensure full user acceptance of the integrated application and interfaces
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Document and evaluate test results and defects
- Work with the Development team and business to troubleshoot issues

The annual salary range in consideration for this role, based on experience and qualifications, is between $80-110k. Don’t meet every qualification?
